Lifeguard Certification
Prerequisites
All candidates must be 15 years of age on or before the last scheduled class of their session.
All participants are required to take a precourse before being admitted to the Lifeguard Course.
Proof of age is
required (Driver's License, Birth Certificate, or
Passport) to participate in a precourse session.
Bring proof of age, towel, and swimsuit to the
precourse.
Precourses
You must bring proof of age to the precourse session (Driver's License, Birth Certificate, or Passport). The precourse consists of swimming 500 yards continuously using the following strokes in order:
1) 100 yards Front Crawl
2) 100 yards Breaststroke
3) 100 yards of front crawl or breaststroke. (May be a mixture).
The participant also will be required to swim the length of the pool using front crawl or breaststroke, surface dive to a depth of 7-10 feet, retrieve a 10 pound object, return to the surface, and swim back to the starting point. While swimming back to the starting point, the candidate must hold the object with two hands and keep his/her face out of the water using a whip kick.
(This must be completed in under 1 minute & 40
seconds.)

Fee: $10 per person per precourse
Lifeguard Course
Fee: $200 Members, $250 Non Members

Fee includes books & supplies for the class.
Certifications include Lifeguarding, CPR for the Professional Rescuer,
First Aid, Preventive Disease Transmission, and AED Essentials.

Minimum of 6 participants. Maximum of
30 participants.
